I purchased a collection of 700-800 albums. A lot of common things and a lot that got donated at the thrift store…But there was one worth adding to my stash.

It’s like an old Abbott and Costello skit of Who’s on First. Them is a United Kingdom rock band formed in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1963. They are most prominently known for the rock standard “Gloria” , “Here Comes the Night”, and “Baby Please Don’t Go”. The lead singer is Van Morrison. Morrison quit the band after a few years and went on to a successful solo career.
I didn’t know about Them until I found a 45 of Gloria with the Artist listed as Them. I put it on the turntable and realized that it was Van Morrison…A quick search and I found the history of them and Van Morrison’s start in the music industry.
I have one of their other albums and rarely come across them in the wild. There’s a few groups like this that I have a hard time letting go of once I get my hands on them…Maybe one day. Do you have any that you just can’t bring yourself to get rid of?
